Join Howard Rice as he tells the story of Southern Cross the small sailboat he built to explore the world, while also creating a sailing classroom to connect with students around the globe via live-streaming video.
At 11’11”, this “Little Ship” is transportable to various areas of the world, where Howard then streams firsthand lesson in geography, mapping, culture, environmental issues and global connectedness to participating classes.
Having completed her 2017 maiden voyage—a challenging and exciting exploration down the Strait of Magellan and into the Beagle Channel in Tierra del Fuego, Chile—Howard will be sharing his stories, mission and vision for the future world-wide voyages of Southern Cross.
